Painful contusions and even fractures of the tibia most often occur as a result of direct trauma to the front of the lower leg, which is why protection of this area is so important. Nevertheless, it should be remembered that when performing strong kicks, large overloads also affect the dorsal part of the metatarsus and the ankle joint, which is the most susceptible to injuries of all joints in the human body. A shin and foot protector is essential equipment in full contact combat sports, its purpose is to protect against the opponent's kicks and when striking. The choice of the appropriate model of shin and foot protectors depends on the discipline practiced and the level of advancement. Muay Thai, Kickboxing and Krav Maga require well-shaped, hard protectors that protect the legs as much as possible due to the need to perform a large number of strong kicks. In the case of MMA, shin guards should not restrict freedom of movement, especially during sparring or ground fighting. This type of protectors, thanks to their lightweight construction, allow for greater precision in strikes while protecting against opponent's kicks. Both types of protectors should be made of very resistant and durable materials and finished with a strong, non-slip, breathable and moisture-absorbing fabric on the inside. Properly selected shin guards will ensure comfort and safety regardless of the martial arts discipline practiced. It is also very important to adjust the size so that they do not move during training and do not limit freedom of movement. Cotton protectors will also protect your shins from unwanted injuries, which are worth mentioning here. They will work very well, among others: in disciplines such as Karate, Taekwondo, Kyokushin and other martial arts where protection and attack with the legs do not require steel shins. They are made of very durable, resistant and easy to maintain and clean synthetic leather. 

Our Overlord® Shin in Step Legend, thanks to their multi-layer construction using shock-absorbing foam of various densities, perfectly absorb and evenly distribute the energy resulting from powerful kicks, thus effectively protecting against painful injuries.

The skin-friendly, anti-allergic inner fabric has anti-slip properties, thanks to which the Legend protectors gain additional protection against sliding during training, additionally, the fabric ensures proper absorption and removal of moisture, also having an antibacterial function.

The stability of the mounting in the shin part is guaranteed by a double hook & loop, ensuring precise adjustment to every calf shape.
